At Our Kind Therapy,
healing is an experience

Because change happens when your story is witnessed and rewritten, not just recalled.

Clinically grounded experiential therapy

We exist to offer
high-quality therapy
that gets you results

Moving beyond transactional care to restore genuine connection, release fears held in the body, and awaken a sense of inspired aliveness within those we serve.

  • Attachment Therapy looks at how you learned to bond and survive in relationships. In therapy, we gently rewire those patterns so closeness doesn’t feel scary, confusing, or exhausting anymore.

  • Narrative Therapy focuses on how you talk to yourself and make sense of your life. We use this to help you rewrite your trauma & defenses, so that you regain choice, and move forward with clarity and self-trust.

  • AEDP creates a safe, attuned space to feel what’s been held back, so deep changes happen where they actually live: in your body or nervous system.

  • Somatic Experiencing works with your body, through connection with your five senses, to gently release stress and trauma.

  • EMDR supports the brain’s natural healing process, allowing painful memories to settle instead of consuming your present.

  • IFS is about understanding why every part of you exists, so nothing inside has to fight for control anymore.

  • ISTDP helps you face the emotions you’ve learned to avoid, so anxiety lessens, clarity sharpens, and real change happens fast.

  • Jungian Psychoanalysis is a depth-oriented approach that helps you understand the deeper movements of your inner psyche.

  • At Our Kind, play therapy for adults uses imagination, metaphoric world-building, and creative tools to help you access parts of yourself that are better expressed through experiential exploration.

  • Sex therapy helps you explore intimacy, desire, communication, and sexual patterns with honesty and safety.

When we say experiential therapy, we mean:

You don't just analyze your fears

you experience safety in real time with an attuned therapist

You don't just talk about relationships

you build corrective bonds that teach your nervous system new patterns

You don't just understand your trauma

you feel it release in your body through somatic work

This looks like:

Find Emotional Root

Unlock the unconscious core beneath your defenses

Somatic Release

Process the true emotional experience suppressed in your body

A blue, round face with a bored or unimpressed expression, featuring half-closed eyes.

Corrective Rewiring

Experience being witnessed and responded to as you create new neural pathways

A blue oval shape with a facial expression of half-closed eyes, giving a sleepy or unimpressed look.

Emotional Completion

Integrate your new emotional truth & ease into your dream life

A blue, irregularly shaped blob with a disinterested facial expression, featuring half-closed eyes and a neutral mouth.

When these moments happen in Our Kind Therapy sessions, your body learns to feel safe, to connect, and to expand.
